Website & Blog “Downtime”

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Just a quick note to let everyone know that our website and blog will be offline from midnight on Friday 27th March to 9:00am on Sunday 29th March. You will not be able to access them for either the whole time or for a portion of this - we are unable to say when we’ll be back up and running.

The reason for this downtime is that our host is moving our “virtual home” to a brand new data centre which apparently means our site will load a lot faster than it currently does, thanks to all the new equipment!

We’ll update when everything is back to normal.

Co-operative Community Fund

Monday, March 17th, 2008

The Co-operative Community Fund has given £2,500 towards the costs of recycling the wood from our old pews into new furniture for the church.

Co-op members make a difference by donating some of their share in the Co-op profits to the Co-operative Community Fund allowing local projects like ‘Outside In’ to benefit from more than £7million over the past ten years.

Response from the Open Week Consultation

Over 360 visitors came through the church during the February open week to see the proposals.

Representatives from Ashley House plc (developers for the medical centre), Dementia Care Partnership and the Church of the Holy Nativity were on hand to answer questions and listen to suggestions from the community.

Many visitors completed questionnaires - over 200 in all - giving overwhelming support for the proposals.

Plans will continue to be on display both in the church and in the surgeries. These will be up-dated as improvements are made in response to suggestions.
